Ogham stone, Kerrytown, Ann Arbor. This treaty stone symbolizes Kerrytown's historical connection to Ireland. It was sculpted by Pieter Koning from County Kerry stone to replicate an existing stone located near Kilmalkedar in County Kerry. The original stone was used to seal agreements in early Ireland by parties touching fingers through the hole and thereby making their agreements binding.
